Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Implementation Engineer to join our team in Egypt. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in data protection, data storage, virtualization, private cloud, HCI and data archiving for MS Windows and Linux environments. As a Senior Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating design, site surveys, implementing, and maintaining complex data storage and protection solutions for our clients. Your expertise in data architecture, virtualization technologies, and archiving systems will be invaluable in ensuring successful deployments and satisfying customer requirements. This is a challenging role that requires a strong technical skill set, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and project managers to gather requirements and implement data storage, data archiving, and protection solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of data storage and protection solutions, utilizing your expertise in data protection, data storage, virtualization, private cloud, HCI, and data archiving.
• Conduct thorough assessments of client environments, identifying potential risks, dependencies, and performance bottlenecks, and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Configure and deploy data protection technologies such as backup and recovery systems, disaster recovery solutions, and replication mechanisms.
• Implement data storage solutions as per design, including storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and object storage systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Nutanix, to optimize resource utilization and improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster skill development within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, and engineering, to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data protection, data storage, virtualization, private cloud, HCI, and data archiving.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• 7-10 years of proven experience as an Implementation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data protection, data storage, virtualization, private cloud, HCI, or data archiving.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.
• Expertise in data protection technologies, such as backup and recovery solutions, disaster recovery, and replication mechanisms.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, preferably VMware or Nutanix.
• In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems or Microsoft products (Exchange, Active Directory, Sharepoint) and associated technologies.
• Experience with HCI and private cloud architectures and deployments.
• Knowledge of data archiving practices and solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certifications from PureStorage, NetApp, Microsoft, Veeam, Veritas or Cisco would be a plus.

25% on-site, 25% Customer-remote, 25% Customer-site, 25% Traveling (Egypt, Saudi Arabia)
